Who are you a mom to?
Two boys! Nolan (turning 5 this month) and Jude (turning 2 this month)!
How long have you been doing FIT4MOM and how did you find us?
I have been doing Fit4Mom for almost 2 years now. I was working out in Thousand Oaks and as soon as Patty opened in Woodland Hills I jumped on it!
Why did you join?
After having Jude, I wanted to start working out as soon as I was cleared by my doctor. He was so small though so I didn't want to put him in a gym daycare. I was also home by myself and yearning for some adult interaction. I found Fit4Mom to be the perfect solution! It is a mommy group, play date, workout and a breath of fresh air all in one!
What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM?
My favorite thing about Fit4Mom is working out along side other Moms. There is truly nothing like working out with other people that "get you". It is a safe place where you don't have to feel judged if your kids throw a tantrum or you can't hold a plank for more than 10 seconds... because we have all been there!
How did you meet your partner?
I met my husband on the first day of classes our Freshman year in college. We didn't start dating until later that fall, but we have been together ever since!
Tell us about your career either now or before baby?
Until I had Jude, I worked in the travel industry as a Sales Rep for Norwegian Cruise Line and Pleasant Holidays. Now I am a full-time stay-at-home Mom and also an Independent Sales Representative for Wildtree (an all natural and organic food company that sells seasonings, sauces and meal prep solutions).
What is your favorite family activity?
I love family game night. The boys are almost old enough to successfully play board games. Jude still requires some help, but he has mastered Hungry Hungry Hippos.
How has motherhood changed you?
Motherhood has made me infinitely more patient. Don't get me wrong, I'm still not what most would consider to be patient. But... it is a work in progress and my children test me everyday. =)
What's your best mom advice?
My best mom advice is to ask for lots of advice. Don't just ask one mom, ask lots of moms. Because everyone has their own way of doing things. Don't try to be the same mom as anyone else... take in all the advice and then decide how to make it your own.
