How long have you been doing FIT4MOM and how did you find us?

I have been a FIT4MOM groupie since Patty offered her first class in Woodland Hills!

Why did you join?

I needed to get back into shape AND dedicate some time to ME without feeling guilty about leaving my kids somewhere.

What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM?

The accountability I get from having friends that go to workout too and being able to dedicate some time to me without feeling like I'm cheating time away from my little ones.

How did you meet your partner?

Depends who you ask... if you ask him: we met at a wedding (but I don't count that because neither of us talked to each other there or really remembered each other) If you ask me: We "found" each other through a mutual friend's MySpace page whom I was going to grad school with. We chatted for a week or two then actually hung out in person for the first time on Halloween weekend in Las Vegas(ten years ago!). And...the rest is history.

Tell us about your career either now or before baby?

Prior to getting pregnant with my oldest, Emmanuel, I was a high school counselor. I absolutely LOVED what I did and felt truly blessed to feel like my job wasn't a job. I hope to go back someday, but in the meantime I feel extremely lucky to be able to stay home and raise my two munchkins.

What is your favorite family activity?

Playing outside with the kiddos. Watching them experience things for the first time, whether it's going to the fair, seeing fireworks, or making pizza from scratch.

How has motherhood changed you?

It has made me more tired and sleep deprived. LOL....j/k...I think it has made me more family oriented. I want to spend more time with my family because I want my kids to grow up around their grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins.

What's your best mom advice?

Everything is just a phase, listen to your mommy intuition and do what works best for you and your family. What works for one family may not work for the next....and remember that the days are long but the years are short.
